Miniature English Porcelain Basket Boy Fishing
A really sweet little Regency porcelain basket with a very finely painted central scene of a boy fishing from the river bank. The surround is a deep underglaze blue with gilded frame and rim and a bellflower garland at either side. The unusual shaped handle has small knops along it and and finishes in the middle with 2 arabesque scrolls hanging below and feathered steps to the top. The base is quatrefoil and unmarked.
It measures 9.4cm (3 1/8") by 7cm (2 3/4") wide and 4.3cm (1 7/8") high.
Condition is very good with no damage or restoration. It is a bit wobbly but that is how it was made. There is some wear to the gold on the rim and a little to the handle. The enamelled scene is in perfect condition. There is a small firing line on the rim and another by the handle. Payment is accepted by bank transfer, card payments (via an online invoice, I'm afraid we cannot take payments over the telephone), Paypal and UK personal cheque. If you prefer to pay by Stripe please go to our website where we offer that option and additionally options to "Pay in 30 days" and to pay in 3 instalments, all securely supported.
Price includes UK shipping. Worldwide shipping is also available, please ask for a cost.
We wish to ensure all our customers are happy with their purchases and offer a full no quibble return policy for all items returned within 14 days. We ask that returns are notified within 7 days where possible. Return postage is the buyer's responsibility in terms of cost and safeguarding the item through transit.
