Large Qianlong style Chinese famille rose vase c.1900. 25" tall vase with a flared and lobed top and unusual shaped collar. Decorated with scenes of court ladies to both sides, set amongst floral decoration with birds and insects. With a pair of large birds (peacocks?) at the neck of the vase. Note also the lizards, one pink one blue, over the larger scenes on both sides of the vase. Unusually these creatures each appear to have two tails! With a large stamped mark to the underside. Very minor damage to the neck frills on a couple of the lizards and a small chip to the underside, otherwise excellent condition.
