A bowl of hexalobed foliate form decorated in underglaze blue, both to interior and exterior, with contrasting panels of stylised landscapes and ikebana style arrangements of asters in a vase. The centre is decorated with the Three Friends of Winter. The landscape panels include a tornado-like motif which appears on late 17th century Kakiemon porcelain. The base has a Chinese style 6 character mark of the Ming Emperor Xuande but is later - circa 1720-40.
Condition: good. No cracks or restoration. Chip to the foot rim related to an old kiln flaw.
Size: Height 5.5 cm, diameter 15.3 cm.
