This is a huge 42.5cm oval platter designed by Graham Sutherland for the 1934 Art In Industry `Modern Art for the Table` exhibitions. With black floral decoration against a pink ground known as 'Cornucopia' and marked FIRST EDITION 1934 with Graham Sutherland signature. In great condition for its age with no chips, nicks, wear, hairlines or restoration guaranteed. There is some crazing visible when viewed close up and held to the light and just a couple of tiny paint flecks. A couple of graze spots on the back are kiln resing points. Please take a close look at the photos as they form part of the description. This is a fabulous statement piece for a wall or dresser by one of the most respected artists of the 20th century.
