A lovely old George III NEWCASTLE SILVER Cream Jug, dating to c.1804-1820. Classic early 19th C. design with large reeded handle, triple reeded rim, engraved banded decoration and oval cartouche with initials poss AJL (?)

Hallmarked on base for Newcastle assay office and the makers initials 'TW', Thomas Wheatley. No date letter but the duty mark is the last issued for George III and places it between 1804 and 1820.

A quite rare little jug in very good condition for its age. Some minor dings commensurate with c. 200 years of age and use.

Height(to top of handle) ~ 120mm. Weight ~ 105gm.
