Gents 1940s large Omega marriage wristwatch.
The watch comprises an Omega pocket watch movement from the early 1920s which was professionally converted into a wrist watch in the 1940s. The movement, which is signed Omega, is working nicely. It has the serial number 6,189,748 which dates it back to around 1924.
The watch measures 47mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The case is aluminium which confirms that the conversion took place in the 1940s. The back of the watch has light marking but otherwise the case is in lovely condition.
The lens is in lovely condition.
The black dial is in the original finish from when the watch was converted. It has light marking but is very acceptable. There are two subsidiary dials, the one on the left is for constant seconds while the one on the right is a faux dial.
A later leather strap has been fitted.
The watch comes in a new presentation box.
