A nicely decorated small Worcester porcelain coffee cup with grooved handle and painted with two scenes of Chinese figures, one side showing a woman holding a fan with a child at her side holding a toy. The other side shows a woman holding a fan, listening to a potential suitor I imagine (given the overly respectful distance between them) playing a pipe, both seated on rather unusual chairs. A single bug is painted to the side to fill an awkward blank space on the cup. Very finely painted with good detail and nice bright enameling. Unmarked, c.1765-1768.

It measures 6cm (2 5/16") high and 5.7cm (2 1/4") rim to rim.

In excellent condition with no damage or restoration and minimal handling wear. Payment is accepted by bank transfer, card payments (via an online invoice, I'm afraid we cannot take payments over the telephone), Paypal and UK personal cheque.
