Fine Pair of BURMANTOFTS Faience Candlesticks
A handsome pair of BURMANTOFTS Faience Art Pottery candlesticks in Burmantoft's iconic vibrant turquoise glaze. Produced in Burmantoft's Leeds factory between 1882 and 1904.
Increasing difficult to find a pair surviving in such good condition.
Fully marked to base with 'BF' ENGLAND & design no. 1198.
Height ~ 290mm.
Generally in excellent antique condition. One nibble to glaze on rear of one column (pic 6). Usual age-related crazing.
A stunning pair of antique candlesticks which will display beautifully in either a period or a contemporary setting.
