Early Wemyss Victorian Pattern Ink Stand. Plums.
Good early Scottish Wemyss ware Victoria pattern ink stand decorated in purple plums. I like this pattern of ink stand as I always think it is a lovely shape. The plums are very well painted.
The lids are later professional replacements, as is often the case with these the lids either get lost of broken. You do though have to look very closely to see they are not original.
Apart from the lids the piece is in very good order.
Early impressed mark to base plus the yellow painted mark.
