Early 19th Century Child's Porcelain Puce Mug
A very sweet early 19th century porcelain child's mug in the Coalport style with concave groove above a spreading foot, slightly tapering walls and multi-spurred handle. Printed on both sides in puce a charming scene of three children studying a large globe, Wide gilded rim and foot detail to the handle. Unmarked, Staffordshire, c.1830-1835.
It measures 7.3cm (2 7/8") high and 7.7cm (3") rim to rim and holds 200ml / 7 fluid ounces.
In excellent condition with no damage, repair or restoration. A firing fault inside the handle and some craze lines to the handle also. Very minor handling wear. Payment is accepted by bank transfer, card payments (via an online invoice, I'm afraid we cannot take payments over the telephone), Paypal and UK personal cheque. If you prefer to pay by Stripe please go to our website where we offer that option and additionally options to "Pay in 30 days" and to pay in 3 instalments, all securely supported.
