Works great as a fruit bowl but is actually a tureen base. A rare design by Graham Sutherland for the 1934 Art in Industry and Harrods exhibitions. Both Clarice Cliff and Foley China provided ceramics for the exhibition by high profile artists of the day including Paul Nash, Laura Knight, Vanessa Bell and Duncan Grant.
In very good condition . Some light crazing and one minute flea bite (3 o'clock in photo 3) but looks like a dust speck. A couple of underglaze dust specks to the interior from firing and 3 kiln resting points to the base.
