An early 1929 Clarice Cliff handpainted (slightly concave) plate in Autumn Crocus. Vibrant colours thickly applied and unusual to find such large crocus flowers on original honeyglaze. No chips, cracks or crazing. A few tiny flecks to the centre and outer green rim and a few underglaze specs and dots from the firing process, evident on all the pre 1930's ware along with areas of dark honeyglaze. Please take a close look at the photos as they form part of the description. A fabulous and original piece of crocus with the green mark to the base and large signature. Impressed '29'. 9 inches (23cm) dia.
