A 19th. Century Chinese Canton enamel pot bellied vase and cover. Dived into 4 panels with heavily decorated and gilded borders, the front and back with Chinese Mandarins and servants in attendance set within an indoor and outdoor setting. The side panels decorated with birds, butterflies, flowers and foliage. The original cover with gilded finial and 2 decorated panels, the front with Chinese characters, the back with butterflies, birds, foliage and flowers. In very good condition with 1 very small negligible rubbing/chip to the back edge of the cover (visible on photo5).Sizes- Height..17''..43cm. Diameter..10.5''..26.5cm.
