Lovely mid 19th century Derby figure of a seated fox on a rectangular base with green grass painted top and with gilt bands and garlands around the side. Beautifully modelled and painted. Marked underneath with the red Stevenson & Hancock Derby mark, c.1863-66. Please see Ceramics Of Derbyshire 1750 - 1975 by Bradley, plate 327 for an illustration.

It measures 4" high and 3 1/4" by 2 1/4" wide. Condition is excellent with no damage or restoration. Light surface wear including a small glaze flake to one side of the base. Payment is accepted by bank transfer, card payments (via an online invoice, I'm afraid we cannot take payments over the telephone), Paypal and UK personal cheque.
