C17th Oak Geometric Chest Of Drawers
A really super small size late c17th oak geometric chest of drawers with walnut panelled sides and on bun feet. Circa 1685.
( please ignore the bottom left drop handle which is resting at an angle, it rests as it should, but I didn't spot it whilst taking the photos ).
The colouring to the chest is lovely, being a warm oak tone, it will blend with other woods easily. Also being is such good condition and fully restored, it will sit beautifully as a stand alone piece in a traditional setting as well as a more contemporary setting.
The size is lovely too, not overly large so it will tuck nicely into an alcove or sit well in a hall as a feature piece too.
Three full width drawers on their side runners, all running well and giving you good storage if this is to be a bedroom chest of drawers.
The top is made up of just two oak planks and with a beaded edge. Mouldings to the drawers and panelled sides.
The rear panelled back is in good order with two old stamps to show a bit of its history and travelling!
Measuring:
Height 33” or 84cm
Width 37 1/2” or 95cm
Depth 22 1/2” or 57cm
