Burmantofts Twin Handled Gourd Vase c.1890
A lovely BURMANTOFTS twin-handled gourd vase produced in the Burmantofts Leeds factory between 1882 and 1904. The shape is very much in the style of Christopher Dresser.
Iconic vibrant Burmantofts turquoise glaze, wonderful gourd shaped body with handles and crimped neck.
In wonderful condition, No chips, cracks or restoration. A tiny speck of missing glaze/firing fault (pic 6) and some typical fine age-related crazing. Fully marked with 'BF' (Burmantofts Faience) monogram, ENGLAND, and design no 194. Displays beautifully.
Height ~ 254mm, Width (handle to handle) ~ 192mm, Weight ~ 1/1kg. Satisfaction Guarantee & Returns Policy.
