Antique Italian Majolica Albarello Drug Jar Vase
This is a fantastic and rare to find, early 19th century, Antique Italian Albarello Drug Jar designed originally as a medicinal jar to hold apothecaries’ ointments and dry drugs.
This has been manufactured with a slant to the rim, typical of the manual pottery techniques at the time and is hand painted with a Floral design with two Roman Profile Portraits.
It is in very good condition but does exhibit some age-related wear as you would expect, which includes some surface chipping to the paint at the rim and the base but no cracks or restoration. It measures approximately 28cm high.
Please take a look at the photos to evaluate the condition for yourself, as they form part of the description and if you wish to ask us anything about the item, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Payment is accepted via bank transfer, debit/credit card (via SumUp secure payments - we will provide a payment link) or Paypal. Payment by cash on collection is also acceptable. Cheques are not accepted.
