Good quality antique French bombe commode chest with the original marble top & floral marquetry on the front. It has gilt bronze mounts, handles, escutcheons & feet. I think the majority of the wood is Kingwood & the marquetry is made up of many other exotic woods. There are locks on the two drawers, but I don't think we have a key. This piece is in very good condition as is the marble & I would date it to around the 1890-1910 period.
