For sale today we have this superb "Madonna and Christ Child" pottery plaque by the Compton Potters' Art Guild. A gorgeous piece of Arts & Crafts pottery to a design by Mary Seton Watts (after Botticelli). Features Mary and Jesus set against a background of flowers and trees within a leaf formed border. An exceptionally crisply potted example that has been painted extremely well with further gilt highlights. Measures 6 1/2" x 4 3/8". Bears an impressed Compton stamp to the rear.
In excellent condition with only a small nick to the rear edge to note (top right of pic 2). We are experienced dealers in mid to high end ceramics, metalware and other items.
