A Rare Compton Pottery Arts & Crafts Wall Plaque
For sale today we have this superb "St Elizabeth of Hungary" pottery plaque by the Compton Potters' Art Guild. A gorgeous piece of Arts & Crafts pottery to a design by Mary Seton Watts. Features St Elizabeth in front of a stylised Poplar woodland with roses cascading down her robes. A nicely potted example that has been painted well with further gilt highlights. Measures 7 1/2" x 5". Bears an impressed Compton stamp to the rear along with it's original hanging loop..
