A perfect Ruskin tea dust green lustre glaze vase
A perfect and fairly rare example of a tea dust lustre glaze, by the Ruskin pottery. This glaze was produced between approximately 1910 and 1920 and all the lustre glazes were designed to enhance the distinctive pottery character. From the images you can see the wonderful blue lights of this green lustre, with the tea dust mottling over. The base pot is ivory ground. With the standard backstamp Ruskin, the date of 1919 to base and the tripod firing marks. This elegant and Chinese influenced vase is in perfect order, with no restoration, chips or hairlines.
