A Large 17th Century Carved Oak Coffer

This is a lovely old piece, with a superb patina, the chest has three decorative carved panels on the front, and on the heavy top of the coffer there are 4 deep moulded panels, this matches the sides
The front panels are in the Celtic style with a circle inside a diamond shape, all the border edgings are also carved and there is stout rope carved plinth around the bottom
The Coffer is in good condition for its age and has candle shelf inside
The coffer is 48” long, 22” deep and 25” high
