A very pretty early 18th century porcelain tea bowl by Meissen, c.1730 decorated with a turquoise ground with 2 shaped cartouches either side painted with Kauffahrtei harbour scenes. The frames, foot and rim are gilded. Inside is a further finely painted harbour scene in puce. Crossed swords mark to the base. An example of this bowl is viewable on the V&A website under record no. C39-1949.

It measures 8 cm wide and 4.5 cm high. Condition is good overall but with professional restoration around the rim. No current damage and only light surface wear. Payment is accepted by bank transfer, card payments (via an online invoice, I'm afraid we cannot take payments over the telephone), Paypal and UK personal cheque.
