A fine 18th century pressed maple snuff box.

The rectangular box lid is steam pressed with an image of “The Poacher Released” by English painter Charles Benazech (1767-1794)

The interior is lined with tortoiseshell and has a white metal hinge

The box retains excellent colour and patination
