Wylie & Lochhead Glasgow School Arts & Crafts Hall Chair
A good period Arts and Crafts Glasgow School oak hall chair, very much in the C.R. Mackintosh tradition, dating to circa 1905. It is unmarked but i'm sure is made by Wylie and Lochhead to a design by John Ednie. With its row of square pierced holes to the back and shaped pierced side supports it is very similar to the much more common magazine stands. A rare and elegant (and very solid and heavy) piece!
It measures 96cm (37 3/4") high, 53.5cm (21") wide and 51.5cm (20 1/4") deep. All maximum measurements. The condition is good, commensurate with age, with its original dark oak colouring. Levels Antiques do not accept responsibility for any damage caused on the customer's premises when the delivery is being made.

Here at Levels Antiques we abide by the distance selling regulations (updated 13/6/14).
You have the right to cancel your order within 48 hours.
Once item/s are delivered you have 14 days to cancel the order. Return of your purchase(s) must be within 14 days of this cancellation date.
The cost of the item/s and any delivery charge paid by the buyer will be refunded, whilst the cost of returning the item/s is at the buyers’ own expense.
