Victorian Oak Glastonbury Chair
A beautiful Victorian Glastonbury chair with parquetry back panel.
The Glastonbury chair is a 19th century term for an earlier wooden chair assumed to be originally made for the Abbot of Glastonbury.
The chair is made with circular tenons and is sturdy. Although it looks like it should fold, it does not fold nor is it meant to as per the original design of this chair.
It is 52cm wide and 52cm deep and 88cm high.
It has marks and wear commensurate with its age and previous use as indicated in the photographs.
Collection from Chester or independent bespoke courier delivery can be arranged to mainland UK for £75.00 excluding Northern Ireland and Scottish Highlands.
