This beautiful powder compact is fully enamelled to the front, substantial it measures just under 3.5" inch diameter. All clasps and hinges are in good order and it "snaps" shut effectively. Opening to reveal a nice clear framed mirror - With super, full English hallmarks for Birmingham 1938, maker JW Benson, it was retailed by GIEVES of 21 Old Bond Street - Outfitters to the Royal Air Force. In fabulous condition it is becoming impossible to find these fine pieces in this sort of order.
