A lovely William IV period table in rosewood . Of excellent construction in solid rosewood and stunning rosewood veneers onto a mahogany frame. This charming table could serve equally well as a side, writing, library or lamp table. It has a rectangular top fitted with a sumptuous green leather writing surface which is embellished with gilt tooling. There are a pair of drawers fitted with their original bun handles and brahmar locks. The whole table stands on lyre-end supports which are united by a turned under-stretcher and terminate in bold hairy-paw feet. It is finished to the rear so could be free-standing within a room if desired. This versatile and appealing table is offered for sale in excellent condition with a wonderful colour and patina.
