An original boat race bowl produced by Wedgwood and designed by Eric Ravilious. This bowl is unusual in that it is a simple black and white bowl whereas most of the bowls have been colour highlighted. There is excellent provenance on this piece. It was the property of the mother of a very well known auctioneer and TV antiques expert with regular appearances on programmes such as Bargain Hunt and the Antiques Road trip. It was purchased after the 2nd world war so it is likley that this is a war time production as a number of potteries made b&w items at that time. It is is excellent condition with a very small nick to the footrim which I have tried to show in the pictures. Please email or telephone for any further information.
