This superb tankard was designed for Wedgwood by Eric Ravilious to commemorate the moving of the factory to Barlaston in 1940. This is one of the hardest to find tankards and these do not come up for sale very often. PricePlease contact Dimensions4" high (10 cms) and 4.25" (10.5 cms) diameter across the top excluding the handle Category Antique Ceramics Date 1940 1940s Antiques Material Earthenware Origin British Condition Excellent - to be ultra critical there is a tiny amount of fritting to the handle and rim (stress tiny) and a couple of small pin head white spots above the two handled top item, in the yellow and certainly part of the manufacturing process.
