An incredibly rare Wedgwood muffin dish and cover, designed by Edward Bawden for exclusive use of first class passengers on the Orient Line in the 1950's. The dome is very delicate and not many survived without damage. Both pieces are in excellent condition with no chips or cracks and both carry the backstamp. They 'ring' beautifully. Minor specks to the black rim edge of the base but barely worth a mention. Any white marks are from the camera.
The base plate is 21.5cm dia.
