Beautiful early 19th.c. game pie dish or tureen by Wedgwood c.1820. Unglazed caneware body and lid to look like a pastry case decorated with a crisp vine and grape pattern and a cauliflower handle. Lift the lid to reveal the original glazed liner into which the conents of the pie would have been pressed. Clear Wedgewood mark in capital letters to the underside. Missing a small portion of the decoration to the body and a small chip from the lip of the liner, otherwise very good condition.
