Vintage Xmas Gifts For Women Kigu Compact
A beautiful gold tone Kigu powder compact with a floral decoration of rose hips & foliage.
So romantic under the inner lid it is engraved in the most beautiful script -
" To ' Darling ' Marjorie from Maurice "
This is such a good quality powder compact as you would expect from Kigu. All clasps & hinges work well. The mirror is perfect. The mirror bezel is marked " PAT. PEND.MADE IN ENGLAND "
The inner lid is just stunning & perfect. In the middle an oblong cartouche is signed " KIGU "
within their triangular trademark. The Kigu registered sliding catch keeps the inner lid in place.
This was designed to protect ladies' nails. The puff & sifter are in place & they look unused.
The pink puff is signed " KIGU " within the triangular trademark.
They are in excellent condition & made from good quality materials. This powder compact also
comes the original black pouch which is also in excellent condition. The base is decorated with the typically ornate Kigu design - reflecting their goldsmith tradition.
This vintage compact measures 3 "& weighs 86.6 grams.
