Vintage Vanity Mirrors Enamel Stratton Compact
A romantic and highly collectible gleaming vintage Stratton 'Slim Convertible' powder compact. This accessory is presented in the original signed box, with the original pouch & signed silk puff. This captivating collectible is adorned with high quality lustrous crimson enamel and gilt motifs. It was lacquered at the point of manufacture which means it will not need to be cleaned. All clasps and hinges work perfectly. The mirror gives a clear, accurate reflection and the whole item is in excellent condition. The gilt powder well surround is stamped with the patent number ' 764125'. The powder well is lined with the original waxed paper insert. The base is decorated with an engine turned design of vertical lines and tiny chevrons. The compact is signed 'Stratton England'.
This compact mirror is suitable for use with pressed / solid face powder or as a handbag mirror.
It measures 3 1/4" and weighs 100.8 grams.
