Gorgeous vintage Stratton powder compact, enamelled to the top and base in a fine cream colour, the birds are Kookaburra (a type of Australian Kingfisher) sat along a brance - totally mint condition, carefully preserved in its original box (signed CW Ottaway & Co of Adelaide - Respected High End Jewellers since the early 1920's) it is marked made in England and the Stratton name is present to the inner lid mirror frame. It could have been a specific commission for Ottaways. The design is so sweet and I have certainly never seen it before - all clasps and hinges are excellent, opening to reveal a nice clean interior with an unused sifter & puff , the pouchette is also present - beautiful don't miss this one!.
