Victorian Walnut Aesthetic Movement Bookcase
An extremely well made bookcase in walnut with ebonised mouldings. The cupboard base has one shelf and the bookcase top has 3 adjustable shelves. This was made by W Walker and Sons, 119 Bunhill Row, London. W. Walker and Sons were cabinet makers in London from 1848 to about 1888. This particular cabinet is very much along the same lines as antique furniture made by a leading cabinet maker of the time, Lamb of Manchester. Circa 1880
