A handsome pair of Edwardian mahogany sectional barrister bookcases by Wm Baker & Co Ltd, Oxford. Each bookcase is constructed in three graduated double door sections, allowing for easy transport. The mahogany has developed a rich, warm patina, complemented by the original glazed fronts with small brass knobs. The proportions balance elegance and practicality, delivering generous storage without losing their composed, architectural character. Both bookcases retain their original maker’s plaques for Wm Baker & Co Ltd, Furniture Manufacturers, The Broad, Oxford, confirming their quality and provenance.
