Victorian Mahogany Extending Dining Table
A magnificent addition to our extensive range of antique furniture.
This large and highly sought after Victorian mahogany extending table features a traditional winding mechanism with five additional leaves, and stands upon turned and reeded legs. The table also still retains all of its original brass and porcelain castors.
As you can see from the photos, it is in lovely condition and has been professionally restored to bring out the beautiful timber used to produce this piece of antique furniture. Some of the leaves have been replaced as these had been lost over a period of time. The timber used is genuine Victorian timber enabling it to have the matching grain and figuring to the top. This would easily seat twelve to fourteen people when fully extended, and comfortably seats six people with no additional leaves fitted.
We do have a set of twelve crown back mahogany chairs that would complement this table (if you are looking for chairs as well).
