1472 - A splendid example of a Victorian Buttoned Backed Armchair C.1870. Being of the highest quality. Dense very well carved frame in Cuban Mahogany. Upholstered in reddish brown leather all in superb condition. The leather could well be original …. if not certainly no later than the early 1900’s. The hide remains subtle with no cracking, drying out whatsoever. This chair has had a very easy life due to its lack of wear.
The frame is solid with no loose joints. It has three small holes in the seat only caused recently. They have been repaired and do not detract from the overall appearance, look closely at the photographs.
