An exceptional pier cabinet crafted from richly figured burr walnut, its surface displaying superbly patterned veneers that highlight the natural beauty of the wood. The cabinet is adorned with refined ormolu mounts and decorative inlays. The top is finished with a pierced brass gallery, while the frieze is embellished with Sevres-style porcelain plaques and delicate string inlay. The glazed door retains its original lock and key and opens to reveal two fixed shelves lined with velvet, edged in walnut. Presented in excellent antique condition, with only light surface marks consistent with age, this graceful cabinet combines practicality with decorative appeal. Its warm patina, intricate detailing, and refined proportions make it a striking statement piece, ideal for enhancing a study, drawing room, or collector’s interior.
