This is the most gorgeous unused Elgin American compact mirror with all the original features - box, pouch, puff, information leaflet & jeweller's rosette. It is so rare to find a mid century compacts with all the accessories. Military compacts are considered highly collectible limited editions, in this condition, this compact is extremely rare.

The lid is exceptionally beautiful & flawless the base too.
The lid shows the most exquisite stylized design of a fruit bowl full of pears, an apple & grapes surrounded by foliage & architectural details. Lift the lid to see an excellent mirror that gives a perfect reflection & an attractive powder well signed 'Elgin American MADE IN U.S.A.' The puff is pristine, gorgeous & signed 'Elgin American' as is the felt lined pouch. The information leaflet & rosette are perfect. Even the signed Elgin american box is in good condition it is robust - slight wear to the lid of the box.
The jeweller's rosette is signed 'NIDEROST AND TAGER'.
