Unused Stratton Lipstick Compact Set 1960s
A very pretty unused 1960s Stratton lipstick compact set. This compact is suitable for use with loose and face powder or as a handbag mirror. Both items have beautiful deep crimson roses with dark green foliage. The surface of the lipstick holder and the lid of the compact also have a satinized finish which is very appealing. There isn't any loss of design. The mirror is very good & gives an excellent reflection. The mirror bezel is signed " STRATTON MADE IN ENGLAND". This item comes with the original puff, sifter and instruction leaflets. This 1960s Stratton '10-Sided Convertible' powder compact measures 3 1/4" and weighs 90.6 grams.
The lipstick holder is just delightful - very beautiful and made with great attention to detail. The original Stratton label in the shape of a red lipstick instructs the new owner to 'Insert into this base your complete Lipstick Refill.....' The other side of the card reads as follows - 'The Stratton LIPSTICK HOLDER'. The end of the lipstick holder is signed 'Stratton No.2 MADE IN ENGLAND'.
The matching lipstick holder measures almost 2 1/4" and weighs 9.6 grams.
