Tavern Clock
Late 18th century black lacquered tavern clock by John Wilson, from Peterborough.
“A” plate weight driven, reverse wind movement with knopped pillars.
White dial with black and gilded circumference. Roman numerals and Arabic 5 minute marks. Original brass heart tipped hands.
Nicely restored chinoiserie decoration to door and case.
Dial diameter 28 1/2”
Length of clock 57”.
