Stunning 19th Century Walnut Italian Chaise Longue
A stunning 19th Century carved walnut Italian chaise longue adorned with decorative cherubs. This delightful chaise dating to the mid 19th Century originating from Italy is constructed from solid walnut and being newly upholstered is very comfortable. Having two beautifully carved cherubs, each looking at each other with one peering over his shoulder and the other looking from round the backrest. The intricately carved base with a decorative frieze and rounded corners stands on four carved and turned walnut feet.
The chaise has been newly upholstered in a cashew linen fabric with double pipping which contrasts perfectly with the natural walnut colours.
A very rare and fine quality decorative chaise longue in excellent condition which will work in both a contemporary or traditional setting.
