A French gilded cased striking and repeating carriage antique clock. A nicely designed handle and fluted front and rear side columns. A silvered dial with blued steel hands. An 8-day duration mechanism striking the hours and 1/2 hours on a gong with push button repeating. The original lever escapement. Movement numbered 251. Circa 1885.
