A French brass cased striking and repeating carriage antique clock. A brass case with an enamel dial with Roman numerals and blued steel 'moon' hands. Indistinctly signed 'N Mayer, Manchester as the retailer to the dial. An 8-day duration mechanism striking the hours and 1/2 hours on a gong. Push button repeating at the top. Numbered 168. A lever escapement. Circa 1885
