Staffordshire Figures The Welch Tailor & Family
Very nice early 19th century Staffordshire figures of The Welch Tailor and his wife, c.1830, painted in enamels set on green bases with scrolls and central pillar mounted with tiny flowers. They show the figures riding goats, the tailor with a barrel on his back with 2 kids in it, and his wife with 2 babes in a basket on her back with another in her arms.
They measure approx. 5 1/4" high and 4" wide. Condition is very good. There has been a loss to the right ear of the tailor's goat. No other damage, nicks or chips and no restoration I can detect. There is some crazing but that is usual for these pieces and a few small paint losses.
Payment is accepted by bank transfer, card payments (via an online invoice, I'm afraid we cannot take payments over the telephone), Paypal and UK personal cheque. If you prefer to pay by Stripe please go to our website where we offer that option and additionally options to "Pay in 30 days" and to pay in 3 instalments, all securely supported.
Price includes UK shipping. Worldwide shipping is also available, please ask for a cost.
We wish to ensure all our customers are happy with their purchases and offer a full no quibble return policy for all items returned within 14 days. We ask that returns are notified within 7 days where possible. Return postage is the buyer's responsibility in terms of cost and safeguarding the item through transit.
