A late 17th century Oak Coffer of panelled and pegged construction. The front and top have 3 panels. Above the front panels is a carved frieze. Iron strap hinges are later replacements on the top can be seen remnants of the original staple hinges. The coffer has a replaced bottom, but this has been done sympathetically using oak of the same age as the coffer. The overall condition is very good, with a fine surface and colour.
