A fine Bow porcelain figure of Winter from the series The Seated Rustic Seasons, set on a raised scrolled base, c.1765. He sits on a log warming his hands over a brazier, hunched over in his cloak with berried sprigs set around the base. Decorated in bright enamels and gilding with a small anchor and dagger mark to one side of the back of the base.

Reference: Bow Porcelain Figures by Bradshaw figure 208.

It measures 16.5cm (6 1/2") high and 11cm (4 1/4") wide and 9cm (3 1/2") deep.

In rarely excellent condition with no damage, repairs or restoration. Some fine hairlines from firing under and across the back of the base. Payment is accepted by bank transfer, card payments (via an online invoice, I'm afraid we cannot take payments over the telephone), Paypal and UK personal cheque.
