a fine quality Scottish domestic regulator longcase clock by William McKenzie, turriff.
the drumhead with silvered and engraved circular dial and subsidiary seconds dial.
the tapering case with applied carved mouldings is a lovely rich mahogany with glazed side panels and door, brass weight and brass pendulum on a wooden rod, unusual bell shaped base.
the eight day movement is in very good working order and is keeping excellent time.
this really is an exceptional antique clock which really needs to be seen to be fully appreciated as the photographs just don't do it justice.
